Freddy
Hi, I’m Freddy — a runner, content creator, and a bloke who decided enough was enough.
I started this journey at 258lbs, tired of feeling like I wasn’t in control of my body — or my life. Fast forward to today, and I’ve lost over 40lbs, reignited my love for running, and found my way into a community that’s changed my life.
Because this hasn’t just been about me.
FreddyRuns might have started as a personal project, but over time, it’s become something much bigger — a shared space built alongside friends, supporters, and fellow runners who’ve come along for the ride.
💬 Where It All Really Started
The real turning point for me was Endure 24 in 2023. That weekend was the first time I ever ran 50 miles — but more importantly, it was the first time I truly felt part of something.
I met people who’d seen my videos. I shared laps, stories, laughs.
It was the first time I realised: this isn’t just about running. It’s about connection.
From that event onward, things started to shift. The running continued, but so did the friendships. The messages, the meetups, the encouragement from people I’d never even met — it all built into something meaningful.
🏁 A Few Highlights Along the Way
Since then, I’ve been fortunate to take part in some incredible events:
-
Edinburgh Half Marathon 2024 – A brilliant day running with Kat on her first half marathon.
-
Endure 24 Leeds 2024 – Back for more pain and joy with the Runners Connect Crew.
-
RED Running Challenge – Ran every single day for 90 days straight. It changed how I think about consistency and discipline.
🙌 What FreddyRuns Is All About
This platform isn’t about chasing perfection.
It’s about showing up — even when you don’t feel like it.
It’s about the setbacks (yep, I’ve had plenty), the comebacks, and the power of simply putting one foot in front of the other.
Whether you're here for training tips, weight loss support, or just a bit of motivation from someone who’s figuring it out in real time — you’re in the right place.
I’m glad you’re here.
And as always…
Keep it positive.
